In 2019, Alfons Cornella published Educar humanos en un mundo de máquinas inteligentes. 100 ideas y reflexiones sobre la nueva educación que necesita la sociedad (‘Educating Humans in a World of Smart Machines. 100 Ideas and Thoughts about the New Education that Society Needs’, Profit Editorial) in different languages.
Cornella often gives talks in different forums, where he shares his views on education and the need for innovators in this field. Education requires professionals who understand that it is necessary to update the way we educate, because our context has changed and it will continue to do so.
The Institute of Next has long been interested in education. More specifically, at the Institute we focus on how education should evolve to answer the demand of a new set of skills and mind-sets that society and people need in order to address current and future challenges more effectively.
Our different projects in this field include, among other, dynamising connections between teachers, optimising the discovery of talent and nourishing it, creating content and methodologies for entrepreneurial training, and holding think tanks at universities and other educational centres.
Fort he last 20 years we have been working on innovation, and on many ocassions we have seen how inquiring and innovative girls and boys can be.
We wondered “how would kids themselves think about it?” The results are the 20 questions Ona ponders in this book.

My name’s Ona, Mama says I’m curious as a cat.
What-if-Ona, she calls me.
I love asking questions even if I don’t always have the answers.
I think if you have a why you can always find a how.
We have made a call to the restless people around the world to spread this collaborative book in the maximum number of languages so that more girls and boys stimulate their ability to ask questions.
How many languages do you imagine?
